I’m Rob Simmons, the proud owner of Cozzmic.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I was working as a software consultant when a customer called and asked me to help them with their newly hosted VoIP phone system, which I knew nothing about. They were registered resellers of the product and could not get support from their provider, so they wanted me to take a look. I went in and figured it out in about five minutes, which prompted my customer to ask, “What would it take to start a phone company?”

A year later, I completed my research, and we enthusiastically launched a phone division under that client’s existing company. My eight years of experience running a software firm came in handy to get started.

Sadly, my business partner died a few months later, so I split off the phone division to become Cozzmic in 2013. My goal was to offer excellent service options, affordable prices, and far superior support than small enterprises tended to receive from phone vendors.

I worked as a one-person company for the first five years of operations. Then in 2019, I purchased BCT Communication Systems and BCT Security Systems and merged them into Cozzmic and optimized the internal processes (thank you software experience).

My new products allowed me to effectively help customers by working seamlessly with their IT backend. It included installing on-premise phone and paging systems, security and CCTV, access control, structured cabling services, and networking equipment.

Since then, I’ve continued to keep updated with cutting-edge technologies and have introduced new solutions such as hybrid phone systems, cell boosters, and solar powered cellular cameras. I have also increased the size of my technical team so that my firm can become a trusted technology partner for businesses.

In this endeavor, I work with honesty, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my professionalism and dedication to customer support. I also attribute my success to taking accountability for my actions and not giving up when thrown a curveball.

In these situations, I always remain calm and strive to develop the best solution for the customer, even if that means having to occasionally recommend another company.

By solving phone and security system problems for clients, it enables them to get back to focusing on what they know best. Therefore, it’s rewarding to witness my customers grow after I expand their technology capabilities.

When I’m not installing the latest tech, I like to read, travel, and play board games with my family. Pre-COVID, I played bass in an orchestra with my son (violin), which I’m hoping to get back to eventually.

I also like to help organizations that empower children. I’m currently the President of the Lansdowne Children’s Centre, which supports youth and their families with physical, developmental, or communication needs.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things that matter to me and how they influence how I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise as a phone, security, and system installation service provider in Brantford, Ontario, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit my website at www.cozzmic.com.

Sincerely,

Rob
